The votes are in and this year's 2016 NWLA Hall of Fame class is now elected.
The process for induction into the Hall of Fame has changed to a voting system where wifflers from around the country can vote for up to 8 players from the nominees. If a player is on at least 80% of all voting ballots, then they will be indicted into the prestigious group of wiffleball players/connoisseurs from around the country.
This year, all of these players and teams were unanimously voted in as deserving candidates for this year's HOF class.
The 2016 Hall of Fame class is as follows (first the teams):

Gashouse Gorillas (GBL):
The GasHouse Gorillas are the 5-time GBL Champions, the only team to win the GBL Championship since 2012.
94-30 in the regular season and 42-15 in the playoffs.
Jeremy Ratajczyk has been the manager since the team's inception and has played with notable players such as: Ethan Arvay, Nate Bryan, Ryan Galiher, and Jim Tucker.

Whiteford Wicked Aces (WSEM):
The Wicked Aces are the 4-time Ringler Division Champs and the 3-time WSEM Champions and can claim to be a former #1 NWLA Large League team in 2016.
104-35-1 in the regular season with notable players on past rosters such as: Austin Bischoff, Evan Bischoff, Evan Bortmas, RJ Ficher, Joel Crozier, and shortly, Sam Hatt, Alex Shore, and Dennis Pearson.
Now to the players...

Ryan Bush (OCWA)
This one is a long time coming. Some of you probably already thought that this guy was already in! In 2012, Ryan Bush stormed onto the wiffleball scene. He was not only the first MVP of the NWLA Tournament, but also the only player to win the award twice (2016). He helped the Freaky Franchise win not only two National Championships but also 3 OCWA Championships as well. He is considered one of the hardest throwing pitchers in the world and plays in many leagues and tournaments throughout the wiffle season. He has been on too many NWLA National Teams to count, won too many Wiffy Awards including National Player of the Year multiple times, and has even won the NWLA Tournament Home Run Derby! This kid can do it all and it just so happens is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.

Alex Shore (WSEM)
Alex might go down in history as one of the best managers in NWLA Tournament history, leading two WSEM teams to
back to back Championships, going 15-2-1 with those two teams. When he wasn't managing, WSEM didn't even make it to the Championship game. While in NWLA Tournament history he is known more for his managerial skills, in WSEM league play, he is a two-time all star, and won a WSEM Championship with the Wicked Aces in 2015.

Gus Skibbe (SWBL)
As one of the most feared wiffleball hitters in the world, Gus Skibbe rounds out the 2016 Hall of Fame class. Since he joined the NWLA Tournament scene in 2013, he leads the tournament field in RBI, Runs, 3B, and second in HR. In 2015 he also won the National HR Derby. In the SWBL, he is a 5-time All Star, won 3 Championships, 1 MVP, 2 CY Wiffles, garnered a Triple Crown, and has been selected to 7 NWLA National Teams lists.
Congratulations to our 2016 NWLA Hall of Fame class! Now get to nominating for the 2017 class!
